Frequently Asked Questions About E6

Why six hours? Why not five, like the other leading brands?
At E6, we tend to like simple math. There are 24 hours in each day. 12 of those hours are usually spent sleeping or at rest. The other 12 are when most people try to be more productive. By making an energy shot that lasts for six hours instead of just five, we’ve just done the math… one or two shots to help get you through an average day!

What makes E6 last six hours instead of five?
It’s all in our Energy Blend. Specifically, the amount of caffeine E6 has compared to the other leading energy shot brands – 150mg vs. just 30mg.

Will that much caffeine give me the jitters?
It’s true, that next to other energy shots and drinks, it appears that E6 might have an excess of caffeine. But, it really does not. The Beverage Industry’s standard average of caffeine content for an 8 oz cup of coffee is 80mg. So, E6 has about twice that, or two cups of coffee worth. However, an 8 oz cup of the leading green-labeled premium coffee brand’s “Coffee of the Week” contains 180mg, according to that company’s website.

That means E6 actually contains a little less caffeine than the smallest available cup of one of the most popular coffees in the world. That’s just enough – when combined with our other B-vitamins, amino acids, and nutrients – to give you that extra energy boost you’re looking for, without getting the jitters.

Since every person’s body chemistry is a little different, if you have sensitivity to caffeine, we recommend only using a half-bottle the first time you try E6.

When’s the best time to take E6?
You can use E6 anytime a boost of energy or increased focus is needed. (Use only as directed.)

Who should not take E6?
Women who are pregnant or nursing; children under 12 years of age; or people diagnosed with phenylketonuria (PKU).

I felt very warm and turned red and itchy when I tried E6! What happened?
You have experienced what’s known as a “niacin flush.” Some people are sensitive to elevated amounts of Niacin (Vitamin B3). The warm, red sensation stems from the niacin in E6 increasing blood flow near the skin. I’m sure you noticed it going away in a few minutes, and it may not happen again, as E6 contains Niacinamide, a form of Niacin that causes little or no “niacin flush.” To avoid a niacin flush altogether, try drinking only half a bottle, and save the rest for later.

Have E6 6-hr Energy Shots been approved by the FDA?
The FDA categorizes products like E6 6-hr Energy Shots as “dietary supplements.” Government rules for supplements differ from those established for foods or synthetic medicines. All dietary supplements must comply with DSHEA (Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act) regulations for labeling, manufacturing practices, and use ingredients categorized as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe). The FDA does not test and approve dietary supplements, as they do with medicines, because their ingredients are already established as safe.
